PE aims to draw together Irish photographers from all corners of the country, including Irish photographers that are currently living or working abroad. Ladies and gentlemen of the photographeire club, its time for the next competition for September/October 2005!
Lets get down to brass tacks with this one. The competition title, or theme, for our ninth competition is - Architecture
This months theme gets down to a core subject - architecture. We're looking for a good emphasis on light and shade, something that really stands out, not just your local church building. Think corners and angles, lines and shades... doesn't matter where you are - lets see some good architectural shots.

Another one bites the dust. Its a shame its coming up to 4years since this place was buzzing. RIP
Dublin City Council is to introduce a ban on eleven breeds of dog from properties including houses, flats and estates, with immediate effect.
The breeds are: English Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Doberman, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Japanese Akita, Bull Mastiff, Japanese Tosa and Bandog. Cross-breeds of these dogs or crosses of these dogs with any other breed are also banned.
Owners will be given the opportunity to rehouse the dogs but if alternative accommodation cannot be found for they will be destroyed.

please take the time to sign the petition and read ANVIL's website for updates. This is discrimination against council tenants as well as any responsible owner of one of these breeds.
